Operating as part of the Omexom Taylor Woodrow (OTW) joint venture delivering National Grid's Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) portfolio, you will oversee design coordination, programme execution, and technical assurance across a portfolio of complex transmission schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Design Management: Own and maintain the design schedule across multiple infrastructure schemes, ensuring milestone targets and recovery plans are strictly managed.
- Quality & Assurance Gateways: Enforce compliance with National Grid (NG), SSE, and Omexom specifications, directing technical submissions through required assurance hold points.
- Commercial & NEC Change Control: Act as the technical custodian for commercial variations, managing Early Warning Notices (EWNs), Compensation Events (CEs), and design cost forecasts.
- Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Lead design review meetings across internal/external design teams, client representatives, site delivery crews, and OEMs to resolve RFIs and Technical Queries.
- Design Safety (CDM): Drive 'Safety-by-Design' principles and manage technical risks across temporary and permanent works.

- 8+ years of Design Management or Senior Engineering experience within energy transmission or heavy infrastructure.
