Our subcontractor client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing commercial construction business delivering high-quality interior projects across the UK.

Working in partnership with Tier 1 contractors, you will play a key role in managing multiple fit-out and interior construction projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, cost, and programme. This is a dynamic, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking full ownership of projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple concurrent interior fit-out projects ranging from £20,000 to £1,000,000 in value.
  • Take full ownership of project delivery, including budgets, programmes, and resources.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 Construction Contractor clients and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee project lifecycle including planning, procurement, delivery, and handover.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and health & safety standards.
  • Monitor project costs, manage variations, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain programme timelines.
  • Conduct regular site visits nationwide to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain client relationships.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce and maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and forecasts.
What They're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
  • Commercial construction interior / fit-out experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of working with or alongside Tier 1 contractors.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously across varying values.
  • Solid commercial and budget management skills.
  • Strong contractual knowledge (e.g., JCT contracts) and experience managing contract delivery.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel nationwide for site visits (Full Manual UK Driving Licence required).
  • A PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification and solid knowledge of the methodology is highly desirable.
