About the Role: Our manufacturing client is actively looking for a reliable and organised Stores & Inventory Assistant to join their friendly team. In this varied, hands-on role, you'll help keep their production operation running smoothly by managing stock, preparing materials for manufacturing, and ensuring goods are received and dispatched accurately. Working within a small business environment, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day operation of the company and have the opportunity to support different areas of the business when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and check incoming deliveries to ensure the correct items have arrived and are in good condition.
  • Record stock accurately and store materials in the correct locations.
  • Prepare and issue parts and materials needed by the production team.
  • Help maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management when items need reordering.
  • Keep the stores area clean, organised, and clearly labelled.
  • Package finished products carefully for shipment to customers.
  • Prepare delivery paperwork and coordinate collections with couriers.
  • Ensure customer orders are accurate, complete, and dispatched on time.
  • Support other areas of the business during busy periods as required.

What They're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing, stores, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  • A good understanding of electronic components and stock handling processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with small parts.
  • Good computer skills and experience using stock control or inventory systems.
  • A practical, positive approach with a willingness to help wherever needed.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and sorting stock.

  • Have Full UK driving licence and own transport to be able to get to their location easily.

  • Monday to Friday working pattern, 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday. Early Finish! 1pm finish every Friday.
