Hours: 40 hours per week / Mon-Fri 7.30am to 4.00pm + Overtime.

Salary: up to £37,000 depending on experience + benefits.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent.

Our client is looking for a Multi-Skilled Support Technician to join their team at the Snetterton Renewable Energy Plant. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical or electrical experience who wants to move into a new industry and grow their career in a modern, fast-paced Renewable Energy Company.

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Support Technician, you'll play an important part in keeping the plant running safely, reliably and efficiently. You'll carry out inspections, complete routine maintenance, support operations and fuel handlers, making sure all work is recorded correctly in the site's maintenance (CMMS) and safety systems. This is a varied hands-on role based out on the plant, working closely with both operations and maintenance teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out daily plant inspections and recording data.
  • Supporting planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Helping diagnose and fix faults on plant equipment.
  • Following the computer systems maintenance schedule and completing required documentation.
  • Working safely and following all Health & Safety procedures.
  • Assisting with fuel handling checks and routines.
  • Ensuring the fuel feeding systems run smoothly.
  • Supervising third-party contractors when needed and reviewing their RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety).
  • Keeping the spare parts and stores system up to date.
  • Supporting the Operations Technician & Fuel Handlers.

What They're Looking For

You don't need to be a power plant expert - they'll provide training - but you need solid practical mechanical or electrical experience, an excellent work ethic - someone who enjoys process, compliance and conformity with a proactive attitude towards learning.

Essential to Have's

  • Mechanical and/or electrical hands-on experience.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working around industrial equipment.
  • Competent and confident at following safety procedures and site rules.
  • Ability to ensure others follow procedures and intervene when required.
  • Basic IT skills for entering work into the in-house computer systems.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and an excellent work ethic.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in power, biomass, waste, manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of maintenance computer systems (CMMS).
  • Experience working with contractors.
  • Understanding of RAMS, LOLER and basic safety processes.
  • In possession of a Counterbalance ticket.
