Our client is actively looking for an enthusiastic Technical Assistant to join their friendly and driven Technical Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop strong skills or start a career in food safety, quality, and compliance while playing a key role in delivering safe, consistent, high-quality products to our customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Completing daily, weekly, and monthly technical tasks.
- Overseeing the internal audit schedule assigning, monitoring, and conducting audits.
- Preparing samples and sending them to external laboratories.
- Ensuring products meet standards for positive release, issuing Certificates of Analysis/Conformance.
- Reporting to the team if lab tests show something isn't right, and helping figure out what caused the problem.
- Ensuring they can track where all the ingredients have come from and where they went to, and the amounts used.
- Working closely with customers, responding to queries and technical requests.
- Assisting with customer specifications and documentation.
- Reviewing and signing off production paperwork, maintaining accurate records.
- Updating and maintaining supplier approval information.
What You'll Need to Bring:

- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

- A full UK Driving licence with minimal points.

- Level 2 Food Safety training
- Level 2 Health & Safety training
- Basic HACCP understanding
- Internal auditing training
- Awareness of environmental & sustainability principles.
