We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner & Warehouse Operations to support the optimisation of our Manufacturing clients warehouse picking function and supply chain processes.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate production plans, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled efficiently, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within both the warehouse and planning functions.
Within manufacturing you'll become an important part of their food manufacturing production planning team, helping keep everything on track across their Dry Bulk and Wet Bulk operations. It's a hands-on, get-stuck-in role with great exposure to the entire food manufacturing operation.
From a warehousing perspective you'll be supporting the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives by actively contributing to a change project within the warehouse picking operation, helping to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Updating and maintaining production plans using data.
- Making sure customer orders are processed correctly and reflected in the schedule.
- Using Sage to keep delivery dates accurate, raw materials allocated, and information up to date.
- Working closely with their Orders and Procurement teams so everyone has the information they need.
- Checking stock levels so production never grinds to a halt.
- Joining daily and weekly planning meetings to spot opportunities, flag risks, and help keep the whole process running smoothly.
- Creating production plans ranging from "what's happening tomorrow" to "what's happening in the next few weeks".
- Help maintain high standards of food safety, efficiency, and good housekeeping.
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Someone with a strong warehousing and manufacturing background who is looking to transition into a more office-based planning role within supply chain management.
- You must have an excellent work commitment and ethic with a strong desire to learn.
- Solid IT skills (Excel is your friend and bonus points if you know your way around advanced features).
- Experience or basic knowledge of Sage 200 (or similar systems).
- Strong attention to detail - you notice the small things that others miss.
- Good communication skills - you'll be chatting with managers, directors, and sometimes customers.
- The ability to stay organised even when things get really busy.
- Your own transport - the site isn't easily accessible by reliable public transport, so you'll need to be able to drive yourself to work.
