A well established engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the smooth operation of its production facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and proactive engineer who enjoys a varied role involving equipment maintenance, site improvements, fault diagnosis and facilities support. You'll play a key role in ensuring operational reliability while helping maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned maintenance activities across production equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Support building maintenance and site improvement projects.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and address identified issues.
- Coordinate with external contractors when required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and facility related issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
Desirable:
- FLT Licence
