Finance Manager

A business that values good judgement as much as good spreadsheets. I’m looking to speak to an experienced and well-rounded Accounts Manager - SME, varied role, real impact. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s confident across the full accounts process, but still enjoys working closely with people across a wider team - from operations to suppliers, customers to directors.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing VAT returns
• Handling invoicing, credit notes, payroll & pensions
• Month-end close and cashflow/margin reporting
• Liaising with external accountants, HMRC, and internal teams
• Supporting customer and supplier accounts
• Assisting with stock takes, Sage data entry and reporting
• Helping train others in the team and stepping in when needed

What you’ll need

• Experienced in Accounts
• Confident in Excel and essential: experience using Sage 200
• Hands-on experience in SMEs where you’ve had to juggle tasks and work cross-functionally
• The ability to spot issues before they become problems, and explain them without jargon
• Comfortable working with everyone - from customers to directors
