Shifts: PM shift only available (Monday-Friday) 14:00-23:00 & 15:00-00:00

Pay Rate: £13.01 per hour, overtime paid £19.52 per hour after 43.35 hours.

Workplace and Position Overview: Join our team in the Northallerton area, a leading beef processing factory dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are seeking motivated Production Operatives to join our production department. As a Production Operative in our frozen beef processing facility, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production process to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety in a chilled and fast-paced environment.

Temp to Perm Opportunity: We are looking for individuals who are committed to securing permanent employment and willing to work full-time on a consistent basis. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidates.

Important Requirements:

  • All applicants must be physically fit and capable of carrying out manual duties on a daily basis.
  • Duties may include lifting and moving boxes of meat weighing up to 25kg, loading products onto production lines, and stacking pallets throughout the working day.
  • Candidates who are unable to perform these physical tasks will not be progressed to the interview stage.
  • Full-time availability is essential. We require individuals who can work consistently and reliably on a full-time basis (no part-time or student roles available).
  • English language is required (speaking & writing).
  • Previous experience in a production or food manufacturing environment is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain correct line speeds to maximise output.
  • Report any issues or non-conformances to the Line Leader immediately.
  • Monitor hourly line output and highlight any shortfalls.
  • Take part in Continuous Improvement activities and suggest ways to improve performance.
  • Support line changes and learn new skills when required.
  • Carry out manual work and assist in different lines or areas when needed.
  • Follow all company procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety rules and report hazards or near misses.
  • Keep your work area clean and follow good manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain line standards and take responsibility for your work.
  • Check that products meet the correct specifications to exceed customer expectations.
  • Complete routine tasks independently and perform other related duties as required.
