Major Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Site Fitter / Welder / Mechanical Engineer for our prestigious client based in Batley, West Yorkshire. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to strengthen their engineering team with the addition of a skilled and motivated individual to support ongoing site installations, repairs, refurbishments, and maintenance projects across various recycling facilities along the M62 corridor. This is a hands-on role involving site-based welding, fabrication, and mechanical engineering work, primarily focused on machinery and industrial equipment used within recycling centres.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out MIG welding and fabrication work on-site
- Install, repair, and refurbish industrial machinery and components
- Repair and patch pipework where required
- Fabricate chutes and structural components
- Complete hard-faced welding work on rotating equipment
- Assist with the construction and installation of barriers
- Travel to various customer sites across the M62 corridor using company vehicles
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
