General Operative – Production & Manufacturing We are currently looking for a General Operative to join our busy production and manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of general production, assembly and furnace work, supporting the team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities * Carrying out general production and manufacturing duties. * Assembly work using hand and power tools. * Operating and working around furnaces. * Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings. * Measuring and checking components to ensure they meet required specifications. * Following production instructions and working to set procedures. * Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. * Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting of materials, typically 10–30kg. * Working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines. Requirements * Previous experience in a production, manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable. * Experience using hand and power tools. * Ability to read and understand detailed technical/engineering drawings. * Previous furnace or foundry experience would be an advantage. * Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic. * Ability to work safely and follow instructions. * Physically capable of regular manual handling and lifting of 10–30kg. * Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team. Shift Pattern Week 1 * Monday–Thursday: 6:00am–2:00pm * Friday: 6:00am–11:00am Week 2 * Monday–Thursday: 2:00pm–10:00pm * Friday: 11:00am–4:00pm This is a rotating two-week shift pattern.
