Major Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a well established and growing engineering company based in Huddersfield and we are currently seeking a Quality Controller to join our clients Quality team. The overall purpose of the position is to ensure any customer and internal complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and in line with the Company's quality standards and procedures.

Duties to include, but are not exhaustive of:

  • Be the first point of contact when dealing with any customer issues or queries.
  • Creating rework job cards for internal and customer issues.
  • Record and follow rework job cards.
  • Fulfil the CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) requirements and investigate to the root cause of the problem.
  • Liaise with Supervisors, Managers and Directors.
  • Read and understand drawings, job pack instructions and customers' specifications.
  • Complete weekly and monthly analysis for data collection.
  • Complete Certificates of Conformity, if required.
  • Complete customer's non-conformance reports, when required.
  • Report any errors or major discrepancies to the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director immediately so corrective actions can be taken.
  • Accountable for accepting responsibility for quality aspects and actively participating in quality efforts and supporting the Quality Policy.
  • Discuss the inspection results with the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures and by reporting any safety concerns.

Experience in sheet metal manufacturing would be an advantage.

Working Monday to Thursday days.
