Quality Controller

Major Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a well established and growing engineering company based in Huddersfield and we are currently seeking a Quality Controller to join our clients Quality team

The overall purpose of the position is to ensure any customer and internal complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and in line with the Company\’s quality standards and procedures.

Duties to include, but is not exhaustive of :-

Be the first point of contact when dealing with any customer issues or queries
Creating rework job cards for internal and customer issues
Record and follow rework job cards
Fulfil the CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) requirements and investigate to the root cause of the problem
Liaise with Supervisors, Managers and Directors
Read and understand drawings, job pack instructions and customers\’ specifications
Complete weekly and monthly analysis for data collection
Complete Certificates of Conformity, if required
Complete customer\’s non-conformance reports, when required
Report any errors or major discrepancies to the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director immediately so corrective actions can be taken
Accountable for accepting responsibility for quality aspects and actively participating in quality efforts and supporting the Quality xiskglj Policy
Discuss the inspection results with the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director
Responsible in maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System
Computer literacy is essential
Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures and by reporting any safety concerns.
Experience in sheet metal manufacturing would be an advantageWorking MOnday to Thuersday days
