The role We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative (HPR) to join a production team in Halifax.
Working within a manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient production of PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) products.
You will operate and monitor the High Pressure Reactor (HPR), follow batch instructions, complete production records, and ensure all work meets the required safety and quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in production, chemical processing, process plant operations, or a similar industrial environment.
Key responsibilities Operate and monitor the PVB production process in line with approved procedures.
Set up, operate and monitor the High Pressure Reactor.
Charge raw materials into vessels and reactors according to batch instructions.
Monitor temperature, pressure and reaction times, making authorised adjustments where required.
Carry out routine equipment checks and report faults, defects or process deviations.
Complete production documentation accurately and maintain quality records.
Take samples and carry out basic quality checks.
Provide support across other production areas, including milling, dropping out, dispersions and emulsions.
Follow all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the department.
