Major Recruitment Huddersfield is currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business with an excellent reputation for quality and craftsmanship. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong practical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to become part of a friendly, supportive team. Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assemble signage products, including panels, brackets, and LED lighting systems.
  • Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Assist with fitting and wiring LED lighting when required.
  • Check completed products meet quality and finish standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing (training provided for suitable candidates).
  • Strong practical abilities and excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible and reliable with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality.
  • Confident using hand tools and following technical instructions.

Location: Normanton, WF6. Employment Type: Full-time. Pay Rate: £13 - £14 per hour (DOE). Working Hours: Rotating pattern – 7:00am-3:30pm one week, followed by 11:00am-7:30pm the next. Fridays are 7:00am-3:30pm.
