We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting repairs on vehicles using best practice techniques, adhering to approved repair methods and guidelines. Your primary focus will be on efficiently diagnosing faults, completing repairs within set timeframes, and ensuring all work is documented to meet company policy and quality standards.

- Southampton SO14 3AE
- Able Humber Ports Facility, Rosper Road, Immingham DN40 3DZ
- Paddock Lane, Doncaster DN8 4HT
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle repairs in accordance with manufacturers’ repair instructions, prioritising efficient completion and adherence to set repair times.
- Utilise materials and consumables cost-effectively, following suppliers’ guidelines.
- Document all repairs accurately to meet company standards, downloading repair instructions from ISTA.
- Continuously learn and apply new methods and techniques, including participation in training courses.
- Take ownership of vehicles and their repairs, ensuring accountability and responsibility.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment, adhering to site Health and Safety guidelines.
- Collaboration with the team, workshop/accounts teams, and management to ensure effective communication and completion of all tasks.
- Remain flexible to accommodate varying duties and shift schedules.
- Comply with appropriate working time legislation and undergo any required training.
Requirements:
- Level 3 City and Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the motor trade.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, especially under pressure to meet targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid full driving licence.
- Good education in core GCSE subjects.
