The Role:
We are currently recruiting for experienced CNC Millers / Horizontal Borers to join a well-established heavy engineering company in Sheffield. You will be responsible for setting, operating and programming large CNC milling and boring machines using Heidenhain controls, machining complex heavy engineering components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards. The role involves machining castings, forgings and fabrications using materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, copper and titanium.
What We’re Looking For:
- CNC milling or horizontal boring experience
- Heidenhain control experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment
- Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop
Experience in heavy engineering, on-machine programming, or sectors such as oil & gas, nuclear, defence or aerospace would be highly desirable.
