About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Engineer to support the delivery of specialist engineering services across ventilation hygiene, kitchen extraction cleaning, fire damper testing and fire compartment remediation. This is a hands‑on role where you will work closely with a Lead Engineer, assisting with planned works, compliance tasks and site‑based service delivery. The role will suit someone practical, reliable and willing to learn, with the flexibility to travel and adapt as business needs change.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Engineer with kitchen extraction cleaning in line with TR19 Grease standards.
- Support ventilation cleaning works in accordance with TR19 standards.
- Assist with annual fire damper drop testing to BS9999 standards.
- Support fire compartment remediation works in line with the Regulatory Reform Order 2005 and the Fire Safety Act 2021.
- Follow company engineering standards, site procedures and health and safety requirements at all times.
- Complete additional training where required to support the wider needs of the business.
- Maintain a professional approach when working on customer sites.
- Support the team in delivering a high‑quality, consistent and compliant service.

- Experience working on customer sites within a compliance, engineering or facilities environment.
