Do you have spray painting experience? This is an exciting opportunity for the successful Bodyshop Spray Painters to work with a long-established, prestige automotive retailer based on the outskirts of Doncaster, due to the company experiencing a period of organic growth they are looking to add to the existing team where duties will include:

  • To ensure that all health and safety rules and legislation are adhered to and all health and safety concerns are escalated to management immediately.
  • To ensure all repairs are documented to meet with customer repair standards, company policy and quality standards.
  • To apply paint and primer to vehicles following paint manufacturers' instructions and BMW work instructions.
  • Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with BMW warranty policy and procedures.
  • To be capable of prepping vehicles and panels to a standard that allows them to be refinished to the current BMW standards.
  • To be capable of masking vehicles off ahead of painting to the required standard as per the work instructions.
  • To be capable of polishing vehicles and panels to the required standard as per the work instructions and to current BMW standards.
  • To be capable of basic de-trim and trim tasks within the body shop.
  • To ensure all repairs are carried out efficiently and with minimum cost of time and materials, to meet current BMW repair standards.
  • To embrace and learn new methods and techniques as required and put into practice.
  • To be flexible on a day-to-day basis of actual duties required for the day.
  • Other tasks as directed by the management team.
  • Comply with appropriate working time legislation.
  • To maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
  • To undergo any training required.
  • To correctly clock all jobs on the workshop system in place at the time.
  • Any other tasks as reasonably directed by the management team to provide the required service to the customer within your capabilities.

It is expected that the successful Bodyshop Spray Painters will have experience of working in an automotive spray painting role or similar, working in an automotive body-shop or similar environment, have a strong understanding of all spray paint techniques with intermediate knowledge, be qualified to City & Guilds level in spray painting techniques, confident in managing multiple priorities whilst working with accuracy and with own initiative.
