Major Recruitment are currently working with a leading international automotive manufacturing business based in Baildon/Shipley, who are looking for reliable General Operatives / Wet Test Operators to join their busy factory team.
This is a long-term ongoing opportunity with the potential to progress into a permanent position.
The Role
Working within a busy factory environment, you will primarily be responsible for wet testing manufactured components for leaks.
This involves immersing components in water and checking for air bubbles or other signs of leakage.
The role is hands-on and physically demanding, involving heavy lifting, repetitive tasks and standing for long periods.
You will also be required to support other departments and assist with general operative duties when needed.
- Key Duties
- Carry out wet leak testing and inspect components for defects.
- Handle and move potentially heavy parts safely.
- Carry out repetitive production and general operative tasks.
- Assist other departments when required.
- Follow manufacturing, quality and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Previous manufacturing, production or warehouse experience is beneficial, although full training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, physically fit, hardworking and comfortable working as part of a team.
Working Hours
The role operates on a weekly rotating shift pattern
Week 1: Monday–Thursday 6:00am–2:00pm, Friday 6:00am–11:00am.
Week 2: Monday–Thursday 2:00pm–10:00pm, Friday 11:00am–4:00pm.
Overtime is available depending on production requirements.
