We are looking for a motivated CNC Turning Operator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills further, with progression into setting and programming.
Responsibilities:
- Operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components
- Reading and understanding basic engineering drawings
- Carrying out in-process and final inspections using micrometers, verniers and gauging equipment
- Maintaining accuracy and ensuring all work meets required specifications
- Following company procedures for quality and safety
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience operating CNC turning machines (preferable)
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
Experience:
- Proven experience operating CNC turning machines in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes
- Knowledge of mechanical principles, tooling, and machining techniques including grinding, milling, welding, and assembly processes
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments
- Basic maths skills for interpreting technical drawings and measurements
- Experience working with plastics injection moulding is advantageous but not essential
- Prior exposure to working with tooling setups and adjustments on CNC machinery is preferred
