We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Linisher to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in fabrication, mechanical knowledge, and the use of various tools and equipment.
About the role:
- £13.71 per hour
- Monday to Friday days 08:00 - 16:00
- Starting immediately
As a Linisher you will:
- Operate linishing and grinding machinery to finish metal components to the required specification.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, weld spatter, and surface imperfections from fabricated parts.
- Prepare materials for welding, painting, coating, or assembly processes.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards and dimensional requirements are met.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
- Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures.
- Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with production, fabrication, and quality teams to meet deadlines and production targets.
