What’s the Opportunity?
We are looking for a Technical Estimator and Solutions Engineer to join a team on a part-time, flexible basis. You will be responsible for meeting with clients to discuss their requirements, understand their manufacturing challenges, and propose effective solutions. Your goal will be to balance client needs with our manufacturing capabilities, designing solutions that are cost-effective, functional, and manufacturable (DFMA principles). You’ll also ensure that each project remains profitable by accurately estimating materials and labour costs, working closely with our design and purchasing teams.
What you’ll be doing as a Technical Estimator and Solutions Engineer but not limited to:
- Engage with clients to understand project needs and challenges
- Develop efficient and cost effective solutions
- Estimate material and labour costs for proposed solutions
- Provide timely responses to clients
- Occasionally visit clients at site to understand pain points and needs
Key Skills as a Technical Estimator and Solutions Engineer:
- Engineering background with strong knowledge of fabrication and mechanical assembly
- Ability to read technical drawings and assess manufacturability
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and time management skills
