The opportunity
Major Players is partnering with a leading employer brand agency to find a Senior Paid Media Strategist to join their growing strategy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic thinker who understands that a great brand only creates value when it reaches the right people, in the right places, at the right time.
You'll help the agency's clients turn their employer brands into meaningful, effective experiences across the channels and touchpoints that matter most to talent. Sitting at the intersection of employer brand, audience strategy, communications and media planning, you'll translate brand strategy into clear, confident recommendations on where, when and how organisations should show up, across paid, owned, earned and employee-led channels.
What you'll be doing
- Developing integrated channel and paid media strategies that bring employer brands to life across the candidate and employee journey.
- Defining the role and purpose of paid, owned, earned and employee-led channels, from social and careers sites to recruitment platforms, events and internal comms.
- Translating EVP and employer brand positioning into practical media and activation plans.
- Researching talent audiences to understand their behaviours, motivations and media consumption.
- Building audience and channel frameworks, journey maps and activation plans.
- Partnering with creative teams to ensure ideas are strategically sound and built to perform in-channel.
- Leading client workshops and presentations, articulating your thinking with clarity and confidence.
- Setting channel KPIs and using performance data and insight to evolve strategies.
- Keeping on top of emerging platforms and industry changes, turning them into fresh ideas that keep clients ahead.
What you'll bring
- Experience in paid media, channel, communications, brand or integrated strategy. Employer brand experience is a strong advantage.
- A solid understanding of the digital, social and wider media landscape.
- A track record of developing multi-channel, audience-led strategies.
- The ability to connect big-picture brand thinking with practical activation.
- Strong research, insight and analytical skills.
- Excellent presentation, storytelling and client-facing skills.
- A collaborative approach, working closely with creative, account and specialist teams.
Why apply?
This role offers real influence. You'll help shape how the agency approaches channel strategy, moving clients beyond individual touchpoints towards connected employer brand experiences that change how people discover, consider and engage with organisations.
