Major Players is working exclusively with a leading global media network to find a talented paid social leader for a high-profile, full-funnel retail account. This is a senior leadership role sitting across a major UK retail brand—spanning stores, fashion, and mobile—giving you genuine breadth and scale across three distinct business pillars.

The Role

You’ll lead paid social strategy, planning and client communications at a senior level, with direct line management of two Associate Directors and an Account Manager, and indirect oversight of a team of six. You’ll collaborate closely with programmatic and search specialists and own the paid social output end-to-end—from strategy through to activation on Meta and TikTok, with supporting work on Pinterest and LinkedIn. This is a 12‑month FTC with all standard permanent benefits included and genuine conversations already happening about a long‑term future in the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Director-level experience in paid social (junior directors or senior manager welcome to apply)
  • Strong performance marketing background—this account is full-funnel but skewed to performance
  • Deep platform knowledge across Meta and TikTok
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client communication skills
  • Agency background, ideally network or high‑growth independent
