PART-TIME ROLE – 3 DAYS PER WEEK
I’m currently partnering with a high-growth, independent marketplace that is on a mission to rid the world of generic sentiment. They aren’t looking for followers; they want a smart, opinionated, high-performing creative who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo, kindly.
If you’re tired of being a cog in a faceless machine and want to actually make a dent in a transforming category, this is the seat you want to pull up a chair to.
The Role
As the Catalogue Curation Lead, you will own the end-to-end creative curation of the product range. This isn’t just about picking what looks good; you will be the architect of the standards, principles, and decision frameworks that define quality across the entire brand.
What you’ll be doing:
- Defining Excellence: Set clear quality thresholds and build decision frameworks that guide moderators and creators alike.
- Strategic Curation: Decide what makes the cut and what gets prioritised, taking full accountability for both creative and commercial outcomes.
- Catalogue Health: Lead structured clean-ups and collection curation to ensure the catalogue feels intentional, cohesive, and easy for customers to navigate.
- Creator Mentorship: Provide direct, actionable feedback to creators to strengthen the range and lead the briefing process for high-quality output at scale.
- Commercial Synergy: Collaborate with Merchandising teams to use performance data and customer insights to guide your curation decisions.
About You:
My client is looking for someone who has "strong opinions, lightly held" and values progress over perfection.
- Creative Authority: You possess deep visual literacy and can assess work across composition, style, tone, and brand fit—even if you aren’t the hands-on designer.
- Scale Experience: You have a background in curation, editorial leadership, or creative direction, with a track record of evolving standards across large portfolios.
- Strategic Mindset: You think in both individual products and overarching ranges, shaping hierarchy and flow to improve storytelling.
- Confident Communicator: You can articulate creative decisions to senior stakeholders with clarity and build trust with teams who may not work in creative roles.
- Balanced Perspective: You weigh data and stakeholder input to make clear trade-offs that protect long-term brand health.
