We’re partnering with a leading global digital publisher to hire a YouTube Lead. With an already established, high-reaching social ecosystem spanning news, entertainment, sport, and culture, this business is now investing heavily in YouTube as a key strategic growth channel. This role will be instrumental in building a scalable, high-performance YouTube publishing function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the overarching YouTube strategy across multiple brands and content verticals
  • Identify scalable channel opportunities, franchises, and long-form content formats
  • Translate existing social-first brands and audiences into successful YouTube propositions
  • Oversee all YouTube output, ensuring consistent quality and performance
  • Develop repeatable formats designed for audience growth, retention, and watch time
  • Build and lead a dedicated YouTube team including producers, editors, and channel specialists
  • Establish scalable workflows, commissioning processes, and publishing cadences

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading YouTube channels or video publishing businesses at scale
  • Deep understanding of YouTube algorithms, audience growth strategies, and monetisation
  • Experience building and managing video production or content teams
  • Strong track record of developing scalable formats and franchises
  • Background within a publisher, media owner, or creator-led content business
  • Commercially aware, with experience working on branded content or partnerships
