I am currently partnering with a purpose-led, design-driven lifestyle brand at an exciting inflection point in its growth journey. Founded by a highly regarded creative, the business has built a loyal following through a distinctive aesthetic, strong emotional storytelling, and a deeply held sense of mission and purpose. The brand has scaled quickly and is growing across DTC, premium retail and international markets. They are heading towards £50M revenue and are looking for a Brand Director to join the senior leadership team and take full ownership of how the brand is built, positioned and grown. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role at a business with real heart, strong creative foundations, and bold commercial ambitions.

The Mission

As Brand Director, you will report directly to the Growth Director and work in close partnership with the Founder & Creative Director and CEO. Your mandate is to translate founder-led creative energy into a coherent, scalable brand strategy, one that drives awareness, deepens emotional connection, connects brand investment to commercial outcomes, and supports the business as it scales towards a significant revenue milestone. This is not a role for someone looking to execute campaigns or manage production. It is a role for a strategic, commercial brand leader who wants to define the platform, raise the bar, and help shape what a modern design-led consumer brand looks like at scale.

Core Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy & Direction – Own and evolve the brand platform, working closely with the Founder to translate creative vision into clear strategic direction.
  • Strengthen positioning, distinctiveness and long-term brand equity across every major customer touchpoint.
  • Bring a strong point of view on where the brand should go, how it should evolve, and where it can become more commercially and culturally relevant.
  • Connect brand thinking directly to commercial performance — understanding how brand investment translates into growth, loyalty and revenue.
  • Brand Marketing & Campaigns – Lead and develop the Brand Manager and Social Media Manager to shape strategy and delivery across campaigns, launches, PR, partnerships and collaborations.
  • Define the content and campaign system that fuels every major channel, ensuring output is intentional, consistent and commercially grounded.
  • Set the strategic direction for how social and community build brand equity over time.
  • Lead and develop the Senior Creative & Production Managers, defining the standards, workflows and production rhythm needed to support a scaling brand.
  • Provide direction and challenge on how creative work is planned, prioritised and brought to life across shoots, film and always-on content.
  • Build and lead a high-performing brand team, setting the bar for strategic thinking, creative quality and commercial rigour.
  • Work cross-functionally with ecommerce, acquisition and product to ensure brand and growth operate as one integrated machine.
  • Partner closely with the Founder on brand vision, acting as the strategic voice that translates ideas into plans a team can execute.

Who We Are Looking For

  • An experienced brand leader with 8+ years in Brand Strategy, Brand Marketing or Integrated Marketing, ideally within a consumer business where design, story and aesthetic genuinely matter.
  • A strategic thinker and commercial operator, someone who understands brand equity, how to build it, and how it connects directly to growth and revenue.
  • Someone who can take a founder's vision and turn it into a strategy a team can execute, thinking in years, not weeks, and seeing brand and growth as one machine.
  • A people-led leader who builds teams and followership, whose bar is high, whose feedback is useful, and who makes the people around them better.
  • Commercially grounded, with the ability to connect brand thinking to channel execution, conversion and growth.
  • Experience in DTC, design-led or premium consumer brands is a strong advantage, as is UK and US market exposure.
  • A background in brand strategy or brand marketing is essential, this is not a creative direction, art direction or production-led role.
