Major Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our prestigious manufacturing client based in Failsworth. The role would suit candidates with previous production or machine operating experience in any of the following:
- Plastics Manufacturing
- Extrusion
- Masterbatch
- Chemical
- Food Manufacturing
- Injection Moulding
Previous plastic manufacturing experience is highly desirable although not essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- To be responsible for the manufacture of all masterbatch to a good consistent quality in line with laboratory specification.
- To be responsible for the manufacture of all masterbatch at the required hourly output rates.
- To ensure that optimum process conditions are repeated at all times and to ensure that the quality of production does not deviate from the required laboratory specifications.
- To ensure that the correct raw materials are used in accordance with the laboratory formulations.
- To be responsible for the correct settings of all feeding equipment and to ensure all feeding equipment is in calibration.
- To be responsible for carrying out minor maintenance repair work, e.g. changing dies, dressing pelletiser blades, extruder pusher repairs and any other maintenance work considered necessary by the Production Manager.
- To be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy workplace, at all times.
