Major Recruitment are recruiting FLT Production Operatives on behalf of our prestigious manufacturing client based in Burnley. This role is ideal for a hardworking, reliable, and punctual individual with a strong background in production or manufacturing environments. Please note that this position involves heavy lifting and the use of an FLT Counterbalance truck to move materials across site. A valid external FLT Counterbalance licence is essential; unfortunately, in-house licences cannot be accepted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working within a fast-paced production environment
  • Operating production machinery to mix raw materials
  • Setting and monitoring machinery
  • Using an FLT Counterbalance truck to move up to 2-tonne boxes around the site
  • Filling, moving, and weighing product boxes
  • Using the company ERP computer system
  • Operating hand tools safely and effectively
  • Adhering to all site health and safety procedures

Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour (including shift allowance)

Working Hours – Rotating Shifts:

  • Morning Shift: Monday to Thursday: 5:30am – 1:30pm, Friday: 5:30am – 12:30pm
  • Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday: 1:30pm – 9:30pm, Friday: 12:30pm – 6:30pm

Duration: Temporary to Permanent opportunity

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing environment
  • Previous machine operating experience (highly desirable)
  • Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence
  • Computer literate
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent timekeeping skills
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely and effectively
