Major Recruitment are looking for 5 Class 1 HGV Drivers on a permanent basis for a client based in Rochester, Kent. This is an immediate start for the right candidates.
Pay: 17.90 per hour (PAYE), 22.37 after 40 hours (PAYE). With overtime: up to 50,000 per year. Maximum approximately one night out per week. Fortnightly paid.
Duties Include:
- Collecting produce from: Orchards, Cold storage facilities, Pack houses at the main site
- Deliver to: Major supermarket depots (e.g. Aldi, Sainsbury's), Nationwide locations
- Loading own vehicles, use of counterbalance forklifts / pump trucks when picking up stock from the warehouse (training provided)
- Occasional shunting duties on site
- Going to the main site in Kent every day and drive from there unless staying over somewhere
Working Pattern:
- Rotating shift patterns: Week 1: 5 days on / 1 day off; Week 2: 5 days on / 2 days off
- Rolling rota system (days off change weekly)
- Approximately 1 full weekend Sat and Sun off every 12 weeks
- Drivers start each day from the yard (collect lorry daily)
28 days holiday entitlement, an extra day every 2 years.
