Major Recruitment are recruiting or an experienced and motivated HGV-Diesel Fitter for a client near Hartlepool. This is an immediate start, full-time position. Candidates must have previous experience.
Duties include:
- Carry out preventative and routine maintenance including servicing, inspections and completing relevant paperwork.
- Attend machine breakdowns on site and effect repairs to ensure minimum downtime.
- Troubleshoot and fault find any defects carry out repairs as necessary.
- Maintain the workshop in a clean and tidy environment.
- Ensure all safety and environmental rules are followed including compliance with PPE requirements, method statements and risk assessments.
- Carry out point of work risk assessments before commencing work.
- Good timekeeping & productivity.
Candidates must have:
- Have a complete set of own hand tools, adequate to carry out the job.
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues and external suppliers/clients
- A team player who can enjoy a challenge.
- Demonstrate competence in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
- Full Driving Licence.
Hours of work and pay rate are:
- 6:30am-4pm (Monday to Friday), 45hours per week
- Full-time hours.
- 19.23 (PAYE) 45k per annum
