My Client is a well-established, industry leading manufacturing company with two manufacturing sites in the UK. They have seen year on year success, with further growth plans for 2025. The offer a range of services from Design through to Manufacturing. This has given the company opportunities to service a multitude of sectors, with a client base stretching across the globe. An exciting opportunity has arisen at their County Durham site for a number of General Operatives to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. This opportunity gives a General Operative the chance to work with one of the most respected companies in the UK that have a rich history. They offer not only an excellent package, but more importantly in today's world, job security.

The General Operative role will be to cover a Day Shift: Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm (Friday start and finish times might vary) back shift and night shift on rotation.

General Operative Main Duties:

  • General Machine Operative work
  • Mixing and blending materials
  • Setting up machinery
  • Working in a warm environment
  • Quality checks on all products manufactured
  • Sending samples to the laboratory for testing
  • Lifting and bending
  • Working in a dusty environment
  • Working in a very manual industrial environment

Role Requirements:

  • Experience of working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Machine setting and operating experience
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Ability to inspect own work
  • Physically able to lift up to 15kg
  • Expect high standards from yourself
  • Flexibility with regards to shifts and over-time
