We are partnering with a well-established and highly regulated manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced EC&I Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a safety-focused business operating in a complex, high-compliance environment, where engineering standards and continuous improvement are key to success.

This role will focus on delivering safe, compliant, and reliable electrical, control, and instrumentation engineering across a critical manufacturing site. You will play a key role in supporting plant performance, regulatory compliance, and safety-critical systems.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Strong experience working in regulated or hazardous environments (e.g. pharmaceutical, oil & gas, chemical or similar)
  • Proven experience with SIL, functional safety, or safety lifecycle management

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide EC&I engineering support across plant operations and projects
  • Design, maintain, and improve electrical and control systems in a regulated environment
  • Support and lead SIL and functional safety activities
  • Develop and review safety documentation including HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with UK electrical and safety regulations
  • Support shutdowns, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, and process engineering teams
  • Manage contractors and external engineering partners where required
  • Drive reliability, asset integrity, and plant safety
