Major recruitment is currently hiring a Class 1 Driver to join our well‑established client based in Carrington (M31). This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a respected company in the logistics and transportation industry.

Daily Duties
- Operate and drive Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites
- Maintain knowledge of driving/working hours
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Keep the truck and equipment clean and tidy
Essential Skills
- Minimum 12 months experience in HGV driving
- Ability to use ratchets/straps to secure cardboard bales and remove from paper reels
- No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes
- Must be able to speak and read at a sufficient level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time‑keeping skills
- Effective communication skills
- Flexibility and availability to work overtime as required
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
Desirable Experience
- Experience driving any commercial vehicle would be beneficial
Training Provided
- Industry‑related training and ongoing support throughout
