As the organisation scales, its Legal and Privacy team is looking to hire an Interim Privacy Analyst /
Data Protection Paralegal to support a broad range of privacy, GDPR and compliance activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior privacy professional to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced, regulated environment while working closely with experienced legal, compliance and information security teams.
The role offers exposure to a wide variety of privacy matters and would suit someone looking to further develop their career in data protection, privacy operations or regulatory compliance.
The Role
You will provide day-to-day support across the company's privacy programme, helping to ensure compliance with UK GDPR and wider data protection obligations.
Key responsibilities will include
- Assisting with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) and other privacy reviews.
- Supporting the maintenance of privacy records, policies, procedures and compliance documentation.
- Assisting with Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and wider privacy governance initiatives.
- Supporting Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other data rights requests.
- Reviewing data flows and helping identify potential privacy risks.
- Assisting with supplier and third-party privacy due diligence exercises.
- Supporting the investigation and documentation of privacy incidents and breaches.
- Working with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Security and Product teams on privacy-related matters.
- Supporting privacy awareness and training initiatives across the business.
About you
Candidates should be able to demonstrate
- Practical experience working with UK GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Exposure to privacy compliance activities such as DPIAs, DSARs, ROPAs or privacy risk assessments.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Able to be in the London office two days per week.
Experience within financial services, fintech, technology or another regulated environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
