A leading UK fintech lender is seeking an interim lawyer to join its Capital Markets Legal team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer looking to gain exposure to a broad range of structured finance and funding transactions within a fast-paced, technology-driven lending business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting securitisation and asset-backed financing transactions.
  • Assisting with warehouse financing facilities and broader funding arrangements.
  • Reviewing and negotiating transaction documents alongside internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advising on day-to-day legal issues arising from capital markets and funding activities.
  • Working closely with commercial, treasury and risk teams on strategic financing initiatives.

About You

  • Qualified lawyer with experience in structured finance, securitisation, ABS, debt capital markets or broader financing transactions.
  • between 2–6 PQE
  • Training from a recognised law firm and/or relevant in-house financial services experience.
  • Commercially minded with strong drafting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Keen to develop expertise within a high-growth fintech and alternative lending environment.
  • The Package
  • 12-month contract commencing around September.
