A Global financial services client is currently looking for an interim investments funds lawyer to support its group‑level investments function. The role focuses on advising an institutional investor on insurance‑backed investments across multiple jurisdictions, including coordination with external asset managers.
Core work covers alternative investments, primarily fund‑of‑funds exposure across private equity, private debt, infrastructure and some real estate, alongside oversight of liquid asset management. The role also has limited derivatives exposure (mainly hedging), operating largely on templates with escalation‑based involvement; willingness to upskill in derivatives is welcomed.
Candidates should be senior level alternatives funds lawyers ideally with a buy‑side / asset‑manager advisory background, transactional, operationally minded, and comfortable working closely with investment teams and stakeholders. However, there will be no people management responsibilities.
Start dates likely within the next month, initial contract to September with potential extension. Regular travel to Paris is expected.
