***Senior Payments Lawyer – 12 month FTC (London/Remote)***
They are seeking a Senior Payments Regulatory Counsel to join its global legal function on an interim basis. This is a senior role for a lawyer who is well versed in the complex regulatory landscape, rather than a more blended product lawyer.
You’ll be advising on a wide range of issues including PSD2/3, e-money and EMI frameworks, BNPL, AML/CTF requirements, licensing, supervisory interactions, and cross-border regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will work closely with senior compliance professionals, regulators, and business leadership to ensure their payments platforms are structured and operated in line with evolving regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions.
We’re looking for a specialist with at least 8+ years’ PQE, ideally gained at a leading law firm, financial institution, regulator, or fintech. Strong knowledge of UK/EU payments regulation is essential; global exposure is a plus.
