A leading international investment bank is seeking an experienced Leveraged Finance Lawyer to join its high-performing legal team in London, supporting complex transactions across EMEA. This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of a top-tier Global Corporate & Investment Banking platform, advising on high-value, sponsor-driven financings and strategic transactions.
The Role
- Provide legal support and strategic advice on a broad range of leveraged finance transactions, working closely with front-office deal teams, risk, and external counsel.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on leveraged loan and high-yield bond transactions, including LBOs, acquisitions, refinancings, recapitalisations and restructurings.
- Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, intercreditor arrangements and security documentation.
- Supporting deal execution, including structuring and documentation of syndicated financings.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders (front office, credit, risk) and external counsel.
- Providing commercial, solutions-oriented legal advice across complex, cross-border transactions.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- UK-qualified lawyer (or equivalent).
- Experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance or banking & finance.
- Strong track record advising on LMA-based documentation and syndicated transactions.
- Experience working with private equity sponsors, lenders or investment banks.
- Commercial mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced deal environment.
