MLA is supporting an award-winning, high-growth wealth management platform helping over 1.5 million customers save, invest, buy their first home and plan for retirement. The business is mission-driven, focused on enabling greater financial freedom, with a highly collaborative and embedded legal function.

The client is looking to hire a junior–mid level commercial lawyer to join a growing in-house legal team at a pivotal scaling stage. This position offers broad exposure across commercial contracting, product development and data protection, with real autonomy and the opportunity to shape legal processes and strategy.

  • Draft, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts (including SaaS, technology, banking and marketing agreements)
  • Partner with product and business teams on new launches, initiatives and promotions
  • Advise on data protection matters (including privacy notices, controller/processor arrangements and general queries)
  • Support on regulatory matters alongside Compliance
  • Contribute to legal tech implementation and process improvements (including AI and CLM tools)
  • Provide ad hoc advice across areas such as IP, employment, property and disputes
  • Manage and liaise with external counsel

2–7 PQE lawyer, ideally with strong training from a leading firm. Solid commercial contracts experience, particularly within technology (e.g. SaaS, software, reseller agreements). Financial services or regulated sector experience desirable but not essential.
