We're looking for two interim commercial lawyers to join a well-known FTSE-listed retail business on an initial contract basis. Both roles sit within a busy, collaborative in-house legal team.
Role 1 β Interim Commercial Lawyer
- Type: Interim 6-month contract | Days: 5 days per week (hybrid)
You'll work alongside the Group Legal Director for Corporate, providing solid, hands-on support across a broad commercial workload. This is a busy BAU role β perfect for someone who enjoys getting through volume and doing it well.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts
- Supporting the wider legal team on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters
- Working efficiently with minimal hand-holding in a fast-moving retail environment
What we're looking for:
- 3β6 years' PQE, ideally from a commercial or corporate background
- Comfortable with contract-heavy, BAU workloads
- Pragmatic, organised, and able to hit the ground running
- Prior in-house or secondment experience a bonus
Role 2 β Interim Commercial Lawyer β Technology
- Type: Interim 6-month contract | Days: 5 days per week (hybrid)
This role sits alongside a commercially focused legal lead with a strong technology background. You'll be working on tech-facing contracts and agreements β ideal for a lawyer who enjoys the faster pace and complexity that comes with digital and technology arrangements.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing and negotiating technology, SaaS, and digital services contracts
- Supporting commercial deals with a tech or data component
- Working closely with procurement and tech teams
What we're looking for:
- 3β6+ years' PQE with a focus on technology or IT commercial contracts
- Experience with SaaS, software licensing, data processing agreements, or similar
- Comfortable working at pace in a retail or consumer-facing business
