A leading global investment bank with a major presence across EMEA markets is seeking a mid‑ to senior‑level Prime Brokerage Finance Lawyer for a maternity cover role running from March 2026 to March 2027 (start date ASAP). This is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑performing legal team supporting a sophisticated equities and prime services business.
Experience:
- Mid to senior (VP to Director) solicitor with demonstrable experience in prime brokerage (cash and synthetic), securities lending and equity swaps.
- Experience from another top-tier investment bank or magic circle law firm desirable.
Daily duties:
- Advising the Prime Finance business on day to day queries (including licensing, UCITS, AIFMD, UMR queries, guarantees).
- Providing legal support to the negotiation teams on client requests for bespoke terms.
- Negotiating security agreements and account control agreements, particularly in Ireland, Luxembourg and the UK.
- Negotiating margin lock-up agreements.
- Maintaining and updating netting and enforceability opinions supporting prime brokerage agreements.
