A leading asset manager is looking to hire an interim Counsel to focus on investment management agreements.
In this role, you will work across multiple of the clients business lines serving clients in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. In this role, you will provide legal guidance on regulatory and transactional matters, with particular focus on investment management agreements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the review and negotiation of agreements and legal documents with clients and business partners, including working on the negotiation of client agreements (e.g., Investment Management Agreements) and business partner agreements (e.g., distribution agreements).
- Advise on licensing and client regulatory issues across EMEA jurisdictions in coordination with Compliance.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.
Qualifications
- Law degree from a recognized institution; qualified lawyer preferred.
- Mid to senior lawyer, ideally gained at a law firm or in-house.
- Experience with contract negotiation and analysis of regulatory issues; experience with cross-border legal issues preferred.
- Basic understanding of financial services regulation, particularly in asset management or investment advisory preferred.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
