The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Counsel to join the legal team of a market‑leading global social media and technology company. This is a high‑impact role supporting fast‑moving, revenue‑generating product and commercial initiatives across Europe and globally. You will act as a trusted legal adviser to senior stakeholders across product, partnerships, sales, marketing, data, procurement and engineering, helping the business scale responsibly while managing legal and reputational risk in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex commercial, technology and strategic partnership agreements, including SaaS, platform integrations, licensing, APIs, data sharing, cloud services, ad tech and content‑related contracts
- Advise on new product launches and commercial models, providing pragmatic, commercially‑focused legal guidance
- Partner closely with product, commercial and operational teams, embedding legal support early in the lifecycle
- Provide strategic advice on data, privacy, regulatory and IP considerations impacting commercial arrangements
- Support global and regional initiatives, working with international legal teams across EMEA, the US and APAC
- Negotiate directly with sophisticated counterparties, including major technology providers, agencies and enterprise customers
- Contribute to process improvements, playbooks and scalable contracting solutions in a high‑growth environment
- Mentor junior lawyers and help shape best practice within the commercial legal team
