A leading multinational investment bank is looking to hire an interim Structured Issuance Lawyer. This is a contract role for an initial 6-month period and is likely to be extended.
The successful candidate will join a team that advises on, and documents structured notes issuance programmes and drawdowns originated in the EMA region. Experience with structured notes and issuance platforms is required for this role as the broader team does not have the capacity to train people up.
Role Overview- Drafting of legal documentation for note, certificate and warrant transactions linked to a wide range of products with particular focus on equities, fixed income and commodities.
- Negotiating distribution agreements and obtaining legal advice as required to increase the number of clients and jurisdictions that the platform services.
- Working on platform build out projects such as templatization and automation.
- Admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
- Experience gained at a leading City firm and/or in-house experience.
- Previous experience of drafting and negotiating legal documentation for trades issued under structured platforms linked to complex underlyings including equities, fixed income and commodities.
- Broad understanding of U.S. securities laws and exemptions and their practical applications.
- Experience in managing high volume of transactions within tight deadlines whilst also progressing project work.
- An excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting is key.
