I am working with a social media giant, who are seeking an employment lawyer to join on a contract for six months. There is credible potential to convert to a permanent role for a high-performing candidate. You will sit at the centre of the EMEA employment litigation function. You will support the Head of EMEA Employment Litigation on complex, high-stakes matters across multiple jurisdictions. You will also take ownership of some eDiscovery work. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys responsibility and pace, and who has experience in countries like Spain, Ireland or Germany. The role is London-based. Ideally three days per week in the office. Start date is ASAP - but happy to wait for the right candidate.
What you will be doing:
- Running employment litigation matters across EMEA from instruction to appointing advocacy
- Assessing risk and shaping defence strategy
- Managing external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Preparing witnesses and supporting trial preparation
- Owning high-volume eDiscovery across the full case lifecycle
- Working closely with HR, Legal, and wider business stakeholders
- Keeping a tight grip on a busy employment litigation caseload
What you need:
- Qualification as an employment lawyer
- Strong employment litigation background from private practice or in-house
- Experience taking cases through trial
- Proven experience managing complex, high-volume eDiscovery
- Confidence working at speed with limited supervision
