Legal Business Partner – Global eCommerce (EU & UK)
Type: Fixed-term contract/secondment, ~6 months
Location: London, UK (hybrid – 3 days/week in office)
Start date: ASAP (July 2026)
About the Role: A global technology company's eCommerce legal team is looking for a Legal Business Partner to support compliance matters across the EU and UK, including obligations under the DSA, DMA, GDPR, and related national laws. This role partners with product, engineering, and business teams on product feature reviews, AI-generated content, data governance, and privacy compliance, while also supporting new market launches.
Requirements:
- Mid-level lawyer, qualified in the UK or EU
- Strong grounding in EU legislation and national laws, with expertise in one or more of: data protection/privacy, antitrust, consumer protection, or IP
- Experience advising on product, data, or platform compliance issues in a tech or eCommerce environment preferred
- Excellent communicator, able to distil complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance for business stakeholders
- Comfortable managing multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Collaborative mindset – this role works cross-functionally with regulatory, privacy, IP, and competition legal teams
