A global technology leader is seeking a Senior Employment Counsel (10+ PQE) to join its EMEA Employment Law hub in London on a full-time basis (40 hours per week, hybrid model with 3 days onsite). This role plays a critical part in delivering comprehensive employment law support across multiple European jurisdictions, with a strong emphasis on France, Italy, and Spain.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted adviser to HR and business stakeholders, providing both strategic and operational guidance across the full spectrum of employment law matters. This includes day-to-day advisory and counselling, handling complex employee relations issues, supporting restructures and workforce changes, and ensuring compliance with local labour laws across different countries.
Key activities:
- Managing and coordinating cross-border employment litigation and disputes
- Working closely with local external counsel to drive consistent and effective outcomes
- Reviewing and developing employment policies, procedures, and internal frameworks
- Contributing to risk mitigation strategies across the EMEA region
Strong experience in European employment law outside the UK is essential, particularly hands-on expertise in French, Italian, and Spanish employment frameworks, even where supported by in-country counsel. This is currently a 6-month contract with scope to extend.
