MLA is supporting a fast-growing, global AdTech company looking to bring in an Interim Commercial Contracts Counsel for an initial 3-month engagement, with strong potential for extension.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded, remote-first business operating at the forefront of digital advertising and app monetisation.
The Role
You’ll sit within a lean, commercially focused legal team supporting high-volume contracting across EMEA. The work will centre on reviewing and negotiating customer-facing agreements, with a particular focus on:
- Insertion Orders incorporating IAB standard terms
- Redlining and negotiation with advertisers and agency partners across EMEA
- Supporting on data processing agreements (DPAs) and GDPR-related provisions
- Advising on cross-border commercial terms within a fast-paced AdTech environment
This is a hands-on role with strong stakeholder exposure, ideal for someone who enjoys practical, business-facing legal work.
Candidate profile:
- UK-qualified solicitor with ~5 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience)
- Strong background in commercial contracts (private practice or in-house)
- Solid understanding of GDPR fundamentals (deeper privacy experience a plus)
- Exposure to AdTech, digital media, or advertising agreements highly desirable
- Experience working with EMEA counterparties / cross-border matters preferred
Logistics
- Start: Ideally by end of June
- Duration: ~3 months initially (with scope to extend)
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Location: Remote-first, with optional 1–2 days/week in a London (Clerkenwell) office, particularly during onboarding
